Currently Laws is working on her new material and is beginning to prepare for her follow up release. Hoping to have it finished by summer of 2012, more details will be available soon.

The debut album“Only Human” (alt/rock/roots) has been described as “...what we all need to hear, reassurance that we will go on, we will survive... Only Human the title cut, opens with a nice mellow bent guitar sound reminiscent of some of our favorites from the psychedelic seventies and winds it's way back to a poetic proclamation...Laws also proves she can rock as well as sooth with songs such as Take it Away.” - Southwest Flair Magazine

The Songstress and her debut album have been greatly supported by Astral Media's EZ Rock, CBC, Kelwona's Classic Rock station 96.3fm, and more. Sustaining long term airplay, and positive response through out today's digital age.

In 2009 Aimie teamed up with lead guitarist, friend, & co-worker Cam Crouch. Together they recorded, produced, and released Aimie's official debut album “Only Human.” Released on August 13th 2010 during their show case at the Salmon Arm Roots & Blues Festival, where Laws' performance was described as “... a pure delight.” Shorty after the release she took the album on an east coast tour in the fall of 2010, where Laws and lead guitarist Crouch, where blessed with touring beside some of Canada's most talented and well known artists. Laws and Crouch joined them by show casing in the Annual Ontario Council of Folk Festivals Conference in Ottawa, QB.
Aimie's petite size often has people underestimating her before she even has the chance to open her mouth. You know what they say, “Big things come in small packages.” Laws' vocal abilities came very natural, and in her 2 yrs of junior choir (2000 & 2001) where she won top awards both years, blossomed immensely. She was also recognized for her lyric writing abilities from companies such as “ParamountSong.com”. It wasn't until 2007 when Aimie began to teach herself how to play guitar and write music, that like the phoenix, Aimie found her strength through her pain, and then through her re-birth. A year later she found herself in the studio to record her original material for the very first time.

In 2008 Laws recorded and released her unofficial, non-profit EP titled “The Beginnings”. Who she worked on with DJ & friend Jason Hutton. The EP consisted of everything Aimie had created up to that point, including a few hip hop tracks that she worked on with friend & Canadian Hip Hop Artist Furthermore. Shortly after that Aimie took on the role of being the lead singer for a progressive metal band with players out of Vancouver's Metal Scene. She then went on to create herself into the artist she is known for being today...

“...a professional in the entertainment industry , Aimie succeeds to grasp the spotlight in hand and focus the goodwill on those in the shadows around her.”                   - Patrick Ryley/Astral Media Radio G.P.

Laws continues to prepare for the widely anticipated follow up to “Only Human.” While also continuing to develop promotional opportunities, & long term career goals.
